Freezing Panes

Is it possible to limit the size of a pane? I have a
form that takes exactly one page, and I want to limit the
length of inputs that a user can enter, i.e., I do not
want extremely long inputs to divide my form/table over
two pages.

Thanks in advance.

How would I do that if the table is already created?
When I try to set the size, it still doesn't limit the
cell to one page.

Sorry for the multiple replies. I've gotten the cell to
stay on the page now, but if more text is added, the
table allows it, but the text is out of sight (i.e.,
underneath the row beneath the current cell I'm typing
in. Could I actually cause the cell to stop accepting
text once it's physical limit is hit?

You want your cake and your ha'penny :)
The idea of using a fixed table cell is that it becomes obvious when it is
full by the fact that the rest of the text disappears. Most users would stop
typing! If you are using a form field here, you can set the maximum number
of characters allowed.
