Freezing

Hi,
Just loaded Office XP small bussiness edition on my
laptop running Win 98, and it freezes up at random times
losing work and generally causing problems. Has anyone
suffered simialr and is there a solution?

Are all programs freezing, or just some?

What are you doing when the program(s) freezes? Copy/paste? Typing?
Scrolling? Switching page views? What?

How are the resources on your Win98 system? Do you have lots of free
disk space? How much RAM? Have you done any basic disk maintenance
lately -- emptying temporary internet file folders, deleting *.TMP
files, run a scandisk/defrag?
