french letters invisible in wordpad and internet explorer

It appears that the french letters as é,à,è ^,have suddenly disappeared. I
don't know the reason why. Can you please help me to solve the problem?

Those aren't Office products so the issue is likely that the user
changed the region in Windows. If this doesn't help you resolve the
issue, See Start, Help, and search for region and languages, or post
your question to a group dealing with the operating system you are using.
