Frequent Outlook close error message

John

Every time I close outlook 2007 on my laptop and frequently on my desktop I
get the error: "MS Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
Then when Outlook is next started, the "Outlook data file was improperly
closed, repair scan in progress" balloon appears.

This problem started in earnest several months ago, maybe around the time
I loaded XP SP3. I've run Office diagnostics and even run Repair from the
Office 2007 install CD and the problem persists.

Any idea how to fix this problems?

Thx for your help, John

Possibly caused by an Outlook add-in, Anti Virus intergrated with Outlook
can cause problems

DL, Are you talking about Tools>>Trust Center>>Add-ins>>COM Add-ins or are
you talking about Outlook toolbars?

I have 6 active COM add-ins, 1 inactive & 1 disabled. Should I just
deactivate them one at a time and see if this helps?

I notice when I rt-clk in the toolbar section, I see Google Toolbar listed 5
times, none with a check. This didn't look right, so I deleted all of these.

Thx for you help. I'll get back and let you know if this is working. -John
