Hi everyone, I am running outlook 2000 on win xp sp2 home. I have outlook
setup for internet mail only. I was wondering if there is a way to show the
"from field" in a new message dialog box after clicking new message? I also
have outlook 2000 at work, but it is running in corporate/workgroup mode,
and on an exchange server, so perhaps this is why I can get the "from field"
at work? If anyone has any info I appreciate it. Thanks.

Not sure if I'm understanding exactly what you want to achieve but to get the
From field click on the drop down arrow next to Options and tick From, this
will then appear on any new message.

Hi Jess. Thanks for your input. What I want to do is after I click the new
message button in outlook 2000, I want to be able to see the from field,
which would be above the to field. Unfortunately, When I click view, I do
not have a "from field" to select. I have a message header option, followed
by a bcc field option, but no from field. I also checked under options, but
no luck there either. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate
your help.

Sorry I don't think I explained it properly.

Within your new mail click on the down arrow next to the Options button
(don't click the actual Options button) you'll then get the following drop
down:

Options
Email Signature
Stationery
Bcc
From

Then just click on From and the field will appear in your email, this should
then stay for all future emails until you untick it.

Hope that explains it better - it took me weeks to find out how to do this!!!

Hello, I’m having this same problem however, there is no down arrow next to
options, just the options button. Any suggestions? Thanks. (I have Outlook
2000 sp-3)
