"From" name appears incorrectly

P

ParrotSquawk

for some reason (I just noticed it), my "from" name in my email is not
formatted correctly.

For example: "John Q. Smith" shows up as "JohnQ. Smith"

OS: XP Pro
Office 2003 SP2

Any help?

TIA

Go into your e-mail accounts and change the Name field to whatever you want
there.

Configure it correctly in the properties for your email account.

Odd. Works for everyone else.
Care to provide any details?
What you tried and what didn't happen the way you thought it should seems
like a place to start.

That was the first thing I tried.

Still no joy.

You don't mention WHAT type of mail server to which you connect. If
Exchange, your company may disallow you to modify the headers (i.e., they
are fixed) to prevent you from pretending to be someone else, so e-mails
sent using their Exchange mail server will definitely identify you. If you
need the record changed for your Exchange mailbox, you'll need to contact
your Exchange admin.
