No
but the file is large so I believe that it is backed up
Is there a compatibility issue Outlook 2k and xp
I did not create a profile yet with Outlook xp
right after I installed it and opened it the first time I tried to open
the pst file and it did not work

Then you didn't back it up. The only safe way to back up a PST file is to
create a copy of it.
Do you still have access to your original file?
