To make it clear,

Here is the exact description of problem.

I have a share point site.
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/default.aspx
Link: http://i45.tinypic.com/2mwezw0.jpg
I can access the above site using FQDN (Fully qualified domain name).

I am hosting project web Access at the following location
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/pwa/default.aspx
(Note pwa is added ).
I am UNABLE to access Project Web Access using FQDN (i.e
http://rs33.americas.abccorp.net/pwa/default.aspx).
Error link: http://i46.tinypic.com/2ymfuh1.jpg

I can access project Web access using http://rs33/pwa/default.aspx

I would like to know how do I fix the issue so that I can access Project Web
Access using FQDN.

Thanks

Gary,

Here the issue is specific to FQDN. So I thought I will narrow down.
Appreciate your help.

Do you have any inputs? Thanks

I have the same problem... tried all ISA 2006 and other stuff...

I think that Projer Server 2007 have some really TOO much security, however,
I cant find any alternatives...

sgOrchid - did you try to use VPN to connect? that worked for some people,
however, didnt do so well for me..
for some reason after my latest 40th reinstall of windows 2003 r2 server
with wss3 and server project 2007, i cant access from even my own local
network...

sgOrchid - if you will find a solution please post step-by-step instructions
on how did you do it.
write me if I can be of any help.

The problem here is with all SP and Hot fixes Microsoft releases.
In my case really pathetic the entire experience on project server
installation is very bad.
About an year ago we tested a Pilot trial with Windows Server 2003 R2 with
SP1 and Windows server 2007, SharePoint Server 2007 with SP1, SQL Server
2005. It worked fine. Management was not keen to use project server and
dropped the idea due to various reasons.
Now management wants to try. Microsoft released Service packs.
1. I started with Windows 2008 Standard server and Project 2007 with SP and
SharePoint Server 2007 with SP2 and MS SQL Server 2008 with SP2.
After several attempts met with roadblock Goggled and found several hot
fixes and tried to install. Some steps worked. If the expiry date of hot
fixes is close I couldn’t able to unzip. The hot fixes always say password
error even though I entered the correct password and date is not expired.
So I gave up after two weeks of struggle.

2. I thought I will install Basic mode. i.e Windows server 2003 R2 with SP2
and Project Server 2007 with SP1.
Now I have this issue. I will try for couple of days and close this and
recommend to management not viable solution if I am unable to make things
work.

I hope Gary will through some light.

SG:

I suggest that you engage some paid help for this problem. Do you really
want to make an important business decision based on your personal skill-set
or experience with the tool? You should be using SP2 for Project Server plus
the most recent CU, which today is Dec CU, but in a few days may be Feb 2010
CU. However your issue is with setting up SharePoint, not Project Server.
