FromConnects of Parent & Child shapes

anyone know of a good way to get all the FromConnects of a shape & it's
child-shapes?

the FromConnects property will only get those shapes on the parent shape,
and if i look for the FromConnects on each child, i just get a Connect to the
parent in some cases (which is strange).
