Front end with Different version

I am in the processes of designing a database with the
front end on several client workstations and the back on
our server. I have just realized that my users are on
different versions of Access/Office and was wondering IF
I designed the front ends in their respective versions
(or converted to them to their levels), could I leave the
tables and queries in the 2000 version. Some users are
still under the 97 version.

Thank you, Joan. Can I also assume that the individuals
with Access XP will not prompt for an automatic
conversion/upgrade to a higher version.

As long as they have an Access 2002 frontend, they won't be prompted.
Access 2000 or 2002 frontend can link to Access 97 backend, not problem.
