In order for the search form to function the Front Page
Extensions must be functioning and the server neeeds to
be set up to index your site. See your IS folks on this
point.
Different server software uses different file name to
represent the home page (index, default, etc.). Again
check with your IS folks to find out how you should name
your home page.
