Front Page Folder List

When viewing the contents of a specific web site folder
in Explorer there are more folders (the expected number)
than are displayed in the FrontPage Folder List. The
pages associated with the "invisible" folders are
functioning; folders are not tagged as hidden, but they
aren't listed. What's the reason.
