Front Page Search component

I have recently setup a new web server for our corporation, using windows 2003 and frontpage extensions. My test websites all work correctly from work, including the search component. However, when I am at home (or outside of my firewall), everything works EXCEPT the search component. All that I receive when I try to do a search is "File . Unspecified error ". Any thoughts

If you're running (and using) Microsoft Indexing Server at
work, you need to do so at home as well.

If you're not running (and using) Microsoft Indexing
Server at work, then you shouldn't at home either.

I don't think that I was very clear in my original post (I confuse easily!). I am using 1 server behind a pix firewall, and I am testing it from inside and outside (for public) of the firewall. The searches work on the private side, but not on the public side.

I am indeed using Indexing Service on the server for searches, but are you saying that all of my clients will have to run indexing service on their computers?

Should I switch to WAIS?
