Front page Template ??

Howard Huntley

I just completed a Front page tutorial. I retrieved a front page
template from http://templatespace.com/members to use in my
frontpage to build my first front page web site. Well, the template is
like nothing I studied in the tutorial. I cant get ti the
configurations except by using HTML CODE. Can any one tell me how to
configure this template. Attached below is the source code.

There is nothing there to configure - what do you need it to do?

Swap the images for your own images, add your own navigation to the left
column, add content to the right column. Page finished.

This page template is just an empty page layout with a few images,
waiting to be filled in.

Thank's for your reply. I have changes the composition all togather. I
used one of the Quick site builders that the Hosting company provide
inorder to come up with the current site at "http://huntleytech.net"
To give you a good idea of what I am trying to do. I have a picture
site at"http://imageevent.com/hhuntley/computerlab" Password =howard
I want to build a web site using the given theme.

I want to import this website into front page so I can add pages that
will maintaine the theme and other modifications as if I the site was
created created in frontpage 2003.

The page layout is based on a simple table, similar to your original
page.
The site functionality is formed by a lot of javascript and custom
server-side scripting.
To achieve the scripting you will need to determine what your host
supports (asp, asp.net, php, Perl/CGI etc), what database your host
supports (Access, MS SQL, mySQL) and learn how to use these
technologies.

http://huntleytech.net seems to be based on nested tables. In my
opinion this is not as good as your original since it is easy to get
lost among the nesting.

Save a representative page as a Dynamic Web Template, add editable
regions for content etc. and use the DWT as a basis for your pages.

See Tina Clarke's E-Book regarding DWTs at
