Front Page XP won't load when I reloaded Office

Hello all. First time poster here. Recently my computer
crashed after owning it over 4 years. I finally sat down
to reinstall my Office 2000 small business addition. Only
problem is that the one thing I use the most isn't
loading. That is my FrontPage XP (yea, I'm going to break
down and just get Front Page one day). What makes it
worse is I am in the process of working on a webpage.
I've made more than one attempt. Does anyone know why
this may be happening I'd greatly appreciate it.

Much appreciated,
(The sooner the better)
Melissa

Ummm, Melissa, FrontPage XP (aka FrontPage 2002) was never a part of Office
2000 Small Business. Nor was Front Page 2000. Office Small Business was only
offered as an OEM and included Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Small
Business Tools.

If you're referring to FrontPage Express, that product is no longer
supported and won't install on a newer version of Windows with the latest
version of Internet Explorer. You'll need to upgrade to a full version of
FrontPage or go back to Windows 98 and an older version of IE (it came with
Internet Explorer 3.0)

I think she was referring to FP Express only because she mentioned getting
FrontPage one day. I took that to mean getting the full version.

You're kidding me. I'm using Windows 98 and the IE that
came with my computer which instantly upgraded itself to
IE6. I can't afford Front Page. I found myself disabiled
and had to stop working and had to drop out of school. Is
this a way for Microsoft to make money?

Yes, I mean FrontPage Express. But getting Front Page
alone is not something I can afford in the not so near
future and I was in the middle of building a webpage just
before my computer crashed. I guess I'm going to have to
code the rest by hand since I got screwed in the deal just
because my IE automatically upgraded itself to 6 when I
reinstalled everything.

No, I'm not kidding. Unfortunately, FrontPage Express was a free product
that came with older versions of Internet Explorer. Since Microsoft stopped
offering it a while ago there's no way for you to get it back unless you
have an old copy of IE you can install, let it install FP Express and then
upgrade to IE 6. The only other way would be to find someone that has a
copy of it that you could try and install but there's no guarantee that it
will work. Sorry.
