Frontpage 2000 and Shared Borders

JA

Hi,

I accidentally clicked on adding shared borders to the entire web, rather
than just the current page. I caught the mistake in a split second and
pressed cancel, but it was too late!

The problem is in a subfolder used for development - of mostly asp pages
that are not created using new_page_1. Just regular Notepad created asp page
that have been imported into FP.

I can't figure out how to get rid of the shared borders in that folder. I
moved the pages to another new folder, but the borders came with them. There
is no FP code on the pages.

Where are shared borders controlled? Is it in the vti folders or some such?

Thanks for any help!

In the <head> section of the offending pages you will see a line similar to:
<meta name="Microsoft Border" content="tlb default">
(this line shows Top, Left and Bottom shared borders applied to every page).
Remove this line from the pages.

Ron,

Thank you. That helped for some of the pages, but not all! I can select the
offending asp pages in folder view, and choose shared borders from the
format menu and remove the borders from the selected pages, but it doesn't
really do it. It's just weird!

I am on uncertain ground here since I do not use shared borders, but it
sounds like some of the pages do not have the default Shared Border
settings. These would have to be dealt with individually.
