Removing Shared Borders

JA

Hi,

How do I completely remove shared borders in a front page 2000 web? I
unchecked all the borders and checked "all pages", but it didn't do it (I
think there are too many pages!).

I need to recalculate the web, but I know that if I do, it will add the
borders back in, and also to new pages where I don't want them.

Aren't there certain folders to delete, to get rid of the borders?

Thanks!

JA

That should do it
- unless you have some pages that you have set a per page SB default on
Try searching for (in all pages in html)
<meta name="Microsoft Border"
The open those pages and delete the complete tag

Format->Shared Borders
Select All Pages
Clear all the check boxes
Click OK

This will remove all shared borders from pages that use the default
setting for shared borders, but not from pages that do not use the
default setting - that is those pages where shared borders were set up
using the Current Page option.

To find these pages, Edit->Find
Look for <meta name="Microsoft Border" content="tlrb">
where tlrb are the borders you are using in these pages - if top
border only, use "t", if top and left use "tl" and so on.
Delete this line from the pages found.
