The latest (and last) version of FrontPage is FrontPage 2003...and there are
no trials that I am aware of.
You might want to consider using a timed trial of Expression Web which
basically is the next generation of FrontPage. You can find that here:

Yes and No
Templates in all likelihood (assuming they are simply a combination of
..html, images, and .css) should not be any problem in Expression.
Bot code that was produced in FrontPage will also continue to work in most
cases..but you probably will not be able to add to them (or produce new
ones) in Expression....things like nav bars.
