FrontPage 2002 will no longer open webs

Very strange. After working fine for literally years, my FrontPage 2002 (XP)
suddenly isn't working.

I open FP. Then I go to open a web. Sometimes FP just stops responding right
there. Other times, it shows an incomplete folder list (one with the top
level folder, but none of the subfolders, pages, documents, etc. below that.

FP freezes up.

Similarly, if I run FP, then try to create a new blank web, instant
freeze-up.

FP stops responding.

This happens every time. I cannot open existng webs, cannot create new webs,
nothing.

I've tried repairing FP and tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Still,
no fix.

Any ideas?

Stick with 2000 the new one sucks

Check if the rights (read/write) on the web are still OK.

Also, you should find and delete all .web files, clear the fp cache of temp
files
