I would like to add music to my webpage, but would like
my readers to have the opportunity to click on the music
themselves and not have it start when they click on the
page.

Import the music files into a folder in your web, and create links to it on
a page.

Place the music files in a location in your web.
Create links to them like any other file.
Make sure there is an instruction "Click link to play"
or something to that effect.

I tried that but it opens up into Media Player. How do I
get around that.
