Frontpage 2003 frame buttons for theme

I'm using a theme for a corporate website and it has
a frame for links along the left-hand side, as well as one
that extends horizontally along the bottm for general
navigation. When i first aplied the theme the links were
nice looking buttons but now they are just plain text
links. I've tried re-setting the theme as well as the
frame properties but nothing seems to be able to get my
buttons back. Nor do i know how I lost them in the first
place! What to do?

FP2003 has upgraded themes and uses new themes folder locations for the FP 2003 themes
- You may need to upgrade your older theme (button images come from theme) to be recognized by FP2003
For details on changes in FP2003 themes and converting older themes see:

FYI
The default Corporate template does not create frames, but uses shared borders for the navigation
If you have converted it to a frames based site, recommend not using FP nav bars in frames
- the FP navigation components were not intended for use in frames pages (you can't target individual links)

Robert,

As a test you might consider creating a brand new test web, and apply your
theme to a page there. This will tell you if your issue is limited to
something in that specific web site, or if it is related to your FrontPage
installation.

If you can get a new web with a new page to appear correctly, then you would
follow a path aimed at fixing your existing site. If, however, the new site
and page exhibit the same problem you may try reinstalling FP.

Fixing the sight would probably invovle removing the theme altogeather, then
re-applying it, or, in a drastic measure, importing that content to a new
web and applying the theme to the new web.

What I finally had to do was begin a new web site project,
apply the theme and then just copy over my text so I
wouldn't have to re-do all of it. didn't take long, but
then i only had a couple of pages done. If this happens
again when I'm further along I'll be in trouble! The
problem is that I don't know why it happened in the first
place!
