FrontPage 2003

Matthew Baynard

I've seen some post about FrontPage 2003 being discontinued. Is that
true? Our site at www.cubpack88.org is 100% FrontPage maintained and
switch to pure html or what ever would be a nightmare.

Regards,

Matthew

As far as I know, no new version of it will happen.

Microsoft replaced FrontPage 2003 with Web Expression. It looks the same to
me, not much more than a name change and a few new features.

That is encouraging to know, because I may need to "re-create" my site
on it. It is a school reunion site with 26 pages.

I am wondering if I can somehow transfer what I have to Web Expressions.

Does one need to update to Vista and Explorer7 to use Web Expressions?

Currently, I have: XP Home and Explorer6 and Netscape7.2

P.S. Does Web Expressions have "extensions" that need to be supported
by a server? Just wondering.

Web Expressions uses Front Page extensions. I'm using it to edit an existing
web site that was created with Front Page 2003.

It appears to be just a name change.

Maybe someone from Microsoft can verify this?

Are you finding that you can edit the existing site quite easily? Are
you experiencing many hitches or problems with photo galleries? I don't
need something really fast, just managable.

Thanks,

Yes, everything is working great.

I haven't done anything with photo galleries, but I really wouldn't expect
you to have any problems.

Download the 30 day trial version and give it a try.
Thanks again!
