FrontPage and .mdb files

FrontPage creates a .mdb file, when it sends form results to a server
database. Does frontpage automatically put a lock onto that file. If so how
can I know how to unlock it when I want to unlock it in Access. Surely I
don't have to retrieve every file with FrontPage first?

try to check the file global.asa, the password will be written there

Open the site in FrontPage and use File->Export to copy the database to
your desktop. Open the copy in Access.
If you edit the copy, use File->Import to get the database back into the
website.

If you open the database in the website with Access, then Access puts a
lock on the database preventing website users from using the website.
