FrontPage can't access websites

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the following problem:

I had to reinstall Windows XP earlier this week after the registry became
corrupted. Before then, I was able to access my 3 websites without a problem
using FrontPage (2003). Now that I've reinstalled Windows and subsequently
FrontPage, I can't log into any of them anymore. When I try, I get the
infamous error message, "The folder xxx isn't accessible. The folder may be
located in an unavailable location, protected with a password, or the
filename contains a / or \".

The following things lead me to believe that the problem is somewhere on my
machine, not on the server:

(1) I have 3 websites, all hosted on different servers and by different
hosting companies. Before the reinstall, all 3 worked. Now all 3 produce
this error message.

(2) When I attempt to log in, the error message pops up immediately as I
click the "open" button. It doesn't appear that the request is even being
sent to the host server.

(3) I can still access all 3 websites from my computer at work.

Note, however, that I can browse the web with Internet Explorer, and
download my email with Outlook Express. So this doesn't appear to be an
issue with my network setup.

So if the problem isn't on the server, and it isn't in my netowrk settings,
where is it? What could possibly be causing FrontPage to reject my request
for a connection?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Regards,
Jonathan

Try opening the site in IE, then File Menu | Edit with FP and see if you can
then open.
