Hi.
I recently had a problem when launching Frontpage 2002!
The system crashes completely! Word and Powerpoint are
working fine! The splash screen shows alright then a total
crash! Any solution to this? I'm using Windows ME.
Thanks.

Thank you.

I've tried that, but the same problem still occured! I
even tried to install Frontpage alone in a different
directory on a differnet partition, and it also didn't
work!

Any suggestions please.

Yours,
Riyadh

My next question would be what was recently done to the computer as far as
installing programs / hardware etc??
Next question is, what operating system??

At any rate I would try this next:
Go to My Computer, Control panel, Add/Remove programs and uninstall FrontPage.

Go to http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm and download and run the free
program named RegSeeker and have it clean the registry using the "Clean the
registry" function. It will find a lot of junk, and I mean a lot. Make sure
the backup box is checked click Select All and then right click inside the main
window and select delete.

Restart the computer and then reinstall FrontPage

Dear Steve,

I didn't install any new program to my PC recently! All
the other programs on my computer are working just fine
including Word and Powerpoint!

My operating system is Windows ME.

I will try what you suggested and see what comes up and
let you know.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yours,
Riyadh

In Windows Explorer, find and delete the file CmdUI.prf. This is a hidden,
system file so set your search options accordingly. Your FrontPage
toolbars will be reset to the default settings.
