FrontPage Dropping and adding characters

Has anyone noticed FrontPage dropping and adding
characters?

Example: At the end of a heading, it inserts an extra
character

Firstt
Secondd
Thirdd
Fourthh
Fifthh

Example: Then directly after that, it deletes the greater-
than character of the tag

<font face="Arial" size="3"So Many Jobs, So Few
People</font>

should be:
<font face="Arial" size="3">So Many Jobs, So Few
People</font>

Have you checked for viruses lately?

Jens:

I mannually ran the virus protection software (eTrust
Anti-Virus) on the harddrive of my machine but it did not
find anything.

What's really troubling about this is that I can proof a
page over and over, it's correct, close it, then come
back and open it again, paste the HTML code into an email
program to send out and not know some code has been
changed. I don't realize something is wrong until I get
a copy of the email and it looks like it has typos in it.

Do you have any idea what could be going wrong?
