frontpage fails to open -Frontpg has caused an error in MFC42.DLL

I've been using FP2000 for 3 years with no trouble. All
of a sudden I get this error last week.

I have uninstalled the program, rebooted, run Norton
utilities, installed FP2000 again, and the error persists.

There was a security patch from MFSFT that was install
last week, but I've had lots of those.

Hi RJM,

Did you install any other products? What is the version of MFC42.dll that
you have installed? When you search where does this file show up?

Four show up on a search. One is in windows\system -
version 6.00.8665.0. The other three are in a software
tool I've had installed for years Those are all version
6.00.8267.0.

There was another from another program that was installed
a year ago, but I decided to uninstall that program now.

I have seen where people have reinstalled the OS to get
around this error, but that seems rash. I have updates to
do to my website, so I may have to resort to that.
