Frontpage & File Sharing?

Not sure, strangely that info isn't provided on this particular
firewall report, just "All local network adapters (ports 2567-2835)
over a period of about 6 hours.

I have 135-139 blocked in my windows firewall, also the corporate firewall.
Doesn't affect FP in any way.

OK,

I am just using FrontPage on my home computer, and connecting to a
remote server to upload my files. Even before I make a connection to
upload files, I can get reports from my Firewall that FrontPage is
making connections which contravene the Block Windows File sharing
rule, which is to block connections to and from all computers on ports
135-139 tcp&upd.

I wouldn't say FrontPage is affected, but it is just that it keeps
triggering these security alerts...

Thanks Steve,

I knew about the netstat command, but always wondered how to find out
what process is using what port, that's a great help. I will monitor
this, and see what turns up.

It just occurs to me that computers make connections to the internet
all the time without our explicit knowledge of it, and it would be
great if Microsoft could make a program that allows you to keep track
of what programs and/or dll's are accessing the internet, something
with a user friendly interface, rather than command line.
