FRONTPAGE: How to spread forms over more than one page?

I have a mental block .. have done it before but can't remember how to use
more than one page to use the same form container.

You can't (use 1 form container across multiple pages)
You can pass form fields from 1 page to another

Do you mean use the same form on more than one page? If so, use the
FrontPage include page. See Help and look for Included Content.

Do you want ONE form to have the option to submit to a different page
dpending on a form field selction or button?

Or do you want to reuse the same form in other pages to submit to
another(diffrent page)?
