Hi,

Do you have a web open? If not then all references are to your disk drive, e.g. file:///c:\myfile.htm

Yes I have a web open...it's on my Y:\ drive. That is how I acces the
website, through the drive.

Are you looking at the links after the page has been saved?

yes...after I save it, I pull up the page, view the source, and there is
'file' attached to all my hyperlinks.

Then when you edited the page you did not first open the web via FP File Menu | Open Web / Site
prior to editing your page or you didn't import any external content in to the current open web /
site prior to linking to them.

Has nothing to do with ftp.
When you have your web open for editing, browse to any content / images you want to use using File >
Import and move them to a location inside your web. Then link to them.

This would be your local copy open on your computer in FP. FP can not work with a remote site that
doesn't have the FP extensions, it can only publish to a remote site via FTP, not work on a remote
site via FTP.
