frontpage - I have no form properties

when I Right-click the form, there is no Form Properties. I have page
properties. do I need an update?

No, no update. Sounds like you did not create a form...just "loose" form
fields. If it's a form it will appear between form tags <form>...</form>

I had deleted the guest book and guest log as I was having problems with them
at my server.
I did create a new Guest Book and some how the guest log was made new and I
did not even get a chance at making a new one. i assumed the Frontpage
program created it ?!?
