Frontpage Interactive Button should accept longer Link URL

I wanted to use Interactive Button for PayPal but the link field would accept
a URL that was so long. Same problem exists in the Address textbox in the
Edit Hyperlink dialog box that pops up when you click on Browse from the
Interactive Button window. I was able to do what I wanted eventually by
editing the HTML code, but would rather not have to. Thanks.

FP IB will accept a hyperlink length of 255 characters maximum
- that is also the maximum length allowed for any URL by the specifications for URLs

That may be technically true, Stefan, but 40 million PayPal users do it every
day.
Plus, if I plug the URL into IE address box, it works fine. So either we
convince PayPal that they need to change the way they do business, or FP
could deal with reality which is not always technically correct.
