FrontPage not authenicating anymore?

I hope my question can be answered in this forum. I just upgraded to
XP PRO SP2 and now my FrontPage 2002 will not connect to any site.

What I have done—

- Turn off Windows firewall
- Added port 80, and FrontPage as exceptions
- Re-installed FrontPage
- Tried to add network places manually but to no avail.

Problem-- When I try to edit a site by simply clicking the edit button
in IE, FrontPage opens the page immediately but with no
authentication.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I'm sure it is an easy
fix, but I am at a lost to what it would be.

Thanks for your help and time,
Rich

What happen when you open FP, then use File Menu | Open Web / Site to access your websites?

Thanks for the quick reply. I use frontpage more as a file manager
than what it was intended for. In a perfect world (before XP SP2) all
I would have to do is click the edit button in IE, enter my FP
username and password for the site and edit my pages. All of the
websites I edited were usually listed as a networked place. Since I
just reloaded everything those are gone. Now if I try to add a
network place to one of the sites it states "The folder you entered
does not appear to be valid. Please choose another."

Any suggestions?

So did it work when you tried to open it directly in FP, which would then re-create the item in My
Network Places?
