Frontpage on sites with content on UNC path...

Hello,

I am creating a web site on Windows 2003 with the content
stored on the file server (UNC path). The file server and
the web server belong to same domain and I am using pass
thru authentication.

The site browsing works fine. However, when I try to
connect to the site using Frontpage client, it gives error
saying "Server error: The server extensions were unable to
access the file "frontpg.lck".

The same thing works fine when the site is hosted on the
local drive.

NOTE: The NTFS permissions in both the cases (local
path/UNC path) are identical.

Can anybody shade some light on this?

Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure this is a supported configuration.
However, try the suggestions in

MSKB article 216423

Err Msg: Cannot Open
"C:\TEMP\FrontPageTempDir\Frontpg.lck":
