frontpage requests a converter, "requesting data" keeps flashing.

Running Frontpage 2002 on win xp. I go to my web page in IE, and click on
FILE, EDIT with frontpage.

Message comes back: "frontpage needs a converter".

Status bar flashes: "requesting data".

Installing the converter does not solve the status bar "requesting data"
flashing.

Please help.

In control panel - add remove programs
run a Change - Repair of FP
