frontpage search engine is not working properly

G

GASALLEY

HELP! I have had a lot of trouble with using the frontpage Search Engine
within my site. currently, the search engine on this subweb:
http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com/kits/searchkits.htm does not work
properly. after publishing a couple of days ago, it checked the search, and
it came back with a phrase kinda like: "No Flag Found - Serious Error" and
then some more stuff. never got this error before, but decided to do the
nomal fix-all and I recalculated the hyperlinks thur the TOOL BOX. now the
search engine gives this line: Error from search: can't open the word hash
file
D:\multihome\gasolinealleyantiques\htdocs\kits\_vti_txt\default.wti\All.dct
No documents found. Please try again.

the other search engines on my website work fine. any hints how to fix. I
am using Frontpage 2000. email response would be greatly appreciated, as I
do not know if I can find my way back to this board. (e-mail address removed)
thanks so much for ANY assistance.

Contact your web host and ask them to run FP server health check for your account.

I have contacted them. they have run health check. they have also
reinstalled frontpage extensions. any other thoughts? I was wondering if
this would work, but I dread it, because the only time my website is slow
enough to allow me to finish it, is like 3 in the morning. completely
republishing over the top of the existing subweb OR even, deleting the
exisitng subweb, and republishing. subwebsize is 47356KB. Thanks, Keith

Ask them if they select to allow the health check to reset/fix all permissions.
Ask them to create a separate Index Catalog for the subweb is an option.
