FrontPage themes

Hi, all.

I'm working on my first web site from scratch.

The pages look fine in FrontPage (2002), but when I upload and view in a browser, the theme elements are not there - the background graphic and bullet points.

In addition, when I view in Netscape, the table borders are showing.

Any ideas?

Does your server support frontpage extensions? If your
not sure who is you hoster (Need the URL) and I will
check for you. If you only FTP'd the site up it most
likely does not or they are not active.

Ok, my bad I thought for some of the theam objects to be
applied you needed the extensions.

Been there done that. ;-)
The little intro booklet that came with FrontPage 2002
written by Jim Buyens, named "Discovering Microsoft FrontPage,"
lists the features that do and do not require extensions.
Chapter 2, page 35.

Imagine what you can learn with "FrontPage Inside Out"
written by the same gentleman.

If you are not publishing w/ FP using http,
make sure you upload the _hidden _derived and _themes folders

Thanks. Where do I find the hidden folders? The folder and file list in Front Page just shows the names of my pages - I thought of looking for other files, but none are showing. The Image folder is empty (I don't have any of my own pictures yet).

Maybe you don't have Show Hidden Folders enabled.

Check; Tools/Web Settings/Advanced - Option: Show Hidden Folders (enable it if it's not)
