FrontPage to DreamweaverMX

I just got hired to create a website and I prefer Frontpage but the company
insists I use Dreamweaver, so I am teaching myself. I have all my websites in
Frontpage. Are the files transferrable from Frontpage to Dreamweaver? Why
because before I was informed of using Dreamweaver, I used Frontpage to
create the site...

They are transferable except for any FP tools (run time or design time webbots)

Why not use HTML, CSS and Javascript? They are just as easy to learn.

as long as your not using anything propriety in either editor no one will
know

I find it weird that you would accept a job ... then have to go out and buy
dreamweaver to satisfy the client who should have found a dw user to begin
with if that's what they want.. the mere fact they insist shows they don't
know anything... and won't know the difference unless they expect you to use
their dwts.

html and css are just that.
