Hi fsrobison,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Sound like a mismatch of calendar and work settings. You might like to see

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Change the date format to show hours and minutes as well (Tools/Options/View
tab). Chances are Task1 is not starting at 8AM and not finishing at 5PM.
This will drive the behavior of Task2.

I did as you suggested and saw a task ending Mon 5PM, successor starting Mon
5PM.

Then it dawned on me - I had some resources listed at 0% effort, 0 hrs
(wanted to show that the client was working on the task, but didn't want to
show any client hours contributing to the overall effort). When I changed
this to 1% effort, .01 hrs it worked.

Is there a better way to do this?

BTW - thanks!

I would either not include the client hours on the task, or include real
expected/anticaipted client hours on the task. No need to fudge it.

I prefer the latter approach if only because it's real--clients do
contribute to the overall effort. I've learned by including the client
hours sometimes this leads to interesting and valuable conversations
about those estimates when doing this exposes a difference of
assumptions/understanding about what the job is going to take in terms
of that client particpation. Better to expose and discuss.
