FTP-File download

Junior

Sorry for my lack of knowledge-
Using FP 2002
I want to place a file (zip format - since the file is 24Mb unzipped) on my
web site so a friend may download it.- i.e. save it to their PCs
insteafd of having to mail a disk.
Could someone tell me the basics of doing this?
The help in FP doesn't seem to cover FTP or download

File | Import into your FP web. Create a link to it on a page. Publish
your web to your remote server.

W/ a 24MB file FP may have problems publishing & IE and have problems downloading
If your host supports subwebs create a folder to a subweb & use an 3rd party FTP to upload it
- better still check w/ your host if they support FTP dropboxes in addition to the FP SE
