It would have the added insurance of your files being preserved if the
computer location is destroyed.
One should at least backup important files; anything that is irreplaceable.
My computer is setup with dual hard drives in a Raid array; everything is
read and write to two hard drives simultaneously.
I also backup once per month to a network drive. And some very important
files are also backed up on my ISP server.
