Full screen overlaps taskbar (still)

Octavee Uhl

Hello,

Since I installed word XP on my win 98 SE PC everytime I start word
(maximized) it overlaps my
taskbar. But my taskbar is in the foreground with all other applications.
When I click on open file or new, it blinks and I can do nothing.
Only in "window mode" I can use the program the right way.
I do not use Norton Antivirus.

Who can help?

Thanks Octavee

I have the Taskbar set to AutoHide, but sometimes it won't pop up when a
Word window is maximized in front of it. Usually minimizing Word and
maximizing again, or switching to another application and back, will sort it
out. Occasionally I have to disable and reenable the AutoHide behavior.

The 'blinking' you describe makes me think NAV was installed at one
time. It's possible the DLL for the Office Plug-in could still be
registered.

Search for officeav.dll and if found go to Start/Run and run the
following command:

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\norton antivirus\officeav.dll"

In the above example the path for "Officeav.dll" would depend on the
location of the DLL.
