Full Verison or Upgrade Office 2007

I am going to upgrading to Windows Vista and will be doing a clean install so
I do not have any clutter from my old OS. I am wondering what is going to be
better to purchase the Upgrade or Full Version. I know that pros and cons of
Vista Upgrade and Full Version and I am wondering if Office is the same way
as Vista.

MS Office 2007 'upgrade package' and 'full package' retail products are identical in content and differ in price. The upgrade
package is offered at a savings if you have a either installed or the CD/disks for a 'qualifying product' (MS Office 2000 or higher
or MS Works) available for validation during setup.

Actually, he did. You asked about whether you should buy the upgrade or full
version. He told you they are the exact same product. If you don't have a
qualifying product, then the upgrade will not work. There's no way around
that.

As for whether you should dump vista over your current OS or do a clean
install, part of the answer depends on your current OS and the version of
vista that you are considering. Perhaps you need to do a little homework
before you make your decision. The information is spelled out on Microsoft's
website.

The Vista upgrade version requires that Win2k or Win XP already be
installed on the computer. You can no longer install the upgrade
version on a blank hard drive and simply insert the qualifying product
CD at the appropriate time. I don't (yet) know that M$ has done the
same to the upgrade version of Office 2007. I'm sure that someone will
be letting us know very soon.

MS Office upgrade packages do not require that you have a qualifying product already installed, only that you have the product
CD/disk available when you do install the newer product. There is no change from prior versions for the 2007 Office products in
this.
