Funcres.xla

I'm using Excel 2002. When viewing the VBA editor in an
Excel workbook, I notice an object called Funcres
(funcres.xla). When I click on it, it asks me for a
password. What exactly is this?

Hi Craig,

This is the add-in file for the Analysis Toolpak. In the Excel interface
choose Tools/Add-ins from the menu. The Analysis Toolpak should be close to
the top of the list. Just uncheck it if you don't want this workbook to load
every time you start Excel. Note that it has to be loaded in order to use
any of the worksheet functions that are included in it.

Funcres.xla is the Analysis ToolPak functions for use in Excel worksheets.
It is loaded when you check the toolpak option under Tools|AddIns. It is
password protected, so you cannot just mess about with it.

I have a different problem, Funcres.xla can't be found !
I need it for analysis toolpak to work - so they dont.
yield, regression etc. please help.

The Analysis ToolPak add-in should be included with a regular install of Excel
or Office.

Check in Tools>Add-ins for it. If seen, place a checkmark in the option box.

If you don't see it listed, do a File Search in Windows for ANALYS32.DLL or
FUNCRES.XLA

If not found, you can go to Control Panel Add/Remove and click on MS Office
and "Change".

Go through the options for adding files and features. Have your CD ready.
