Funny lines along the rows

M

Occasionally I get a spreadsheet that has some strange arrow like icons
along the row areas. When I click these areas, it takes me to a data
range. I am not sure what these mean, how they are created. But would
like to know.

Any help is appreciated

Possibly the precedent and/or dependent arrows you get when you choose
Tools > Auditing > Trace Dependents (or Precedents).
