Hello,
I have read the thread from about a year ago about Access. I currently
program in VBA and SQL to provide a lot of automation. I need to improve my
knowledge and have some questions about where Access is going.
Are there any plans to take Access down the .Net path like the other Office
core products? Is it best to switch to VB or has VBA a future? Has there been
a shift it the intended users of Access now that 'SQL server' etc are
available?
At the moment I work with people who have full versions of Access so I have
never got the developers extension that is now packaged with VSTO. Is it
worthwhile getting this for the future? My current users are not comercial
and so they have cheaper machines and not the latest software so .Net is
probably not a good idea for them.
Thanks,
S.
