Fwd/Reply adds unwanted spaces to new text

I am using Outlook for my editor and Rich Text for my
default format. When I forward or reply to an html
email, Outlook adds spaces before and after any new text
I enter in the reply. Is there some way to turn this
feature off? Many thanks! ...John
