Gantt Chart View -- losing changes after sometime

We have Project Server 2007.

Gantt Chart view is not part of the enterprise global, but from time to
time, our PMs are mysteriously losing their 'color codings' / changes they
made to Gantt Chart view.

What could be causing that?

I have already checked the Enterprise Global, and Gantt chart view is not
part of it. Can you please advise what could be causing the loss of changes
in the Gantt Chart view of the PM's projects?

I have seen this problem sporadically while conducting Project Server 2007
training at client sites. There seems to be no "rhyme or reason" as to why
the colors disappear; they simply disappear and the user has to reapply
them. I have seen this with the Cell Background Colors applied in the Gantt
Chart view (NOT the Enterprise Gantt Chart view) in enterprise projects
only. I have not seen the problem with local desktop-only projects saved as
MPP files. I suspect that this is an intermittent bug in Project Server
2007. But how do you report a bug that is not consistently reproducible?
So, I can certainly confirm what you are seeing, but don't know of any easy
way to work around it or fix it. Hope this helps.
