Hi, How do I input items in MS Project, so that multiple events appear on the
same row (task), for example, I want to use separate marker to indicate, the
start, middle, end, and a post complete events, i.e., 4 markers for each
tasks. is this possible?
Thanks

Hi Jothi,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Add 4 tasks for the markers and indent them beneath the main task and then
roll them up to the summary just created and then collapse the tasks so that
only the rolled up tasks show on the summary bar.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thanks very much for taking time to reply. I did try before what you have
suggested. When I roll-up the sub-tasks, the markers associated with the
subtasks do not show up in the master task. What can I do? I would greatly
appreciate your help.
Thanks

Hi Jothi,

They should do! Can you tell us what steps you took to do this? However,
I'm not sure if this will help as rolling up a task goes to all the
summaries of its parent.

I gave it a try again and it worked this time around like a charm. I was not
aware of this discussion grp before. Thanks for your help. I plan to
routinely follow-up on discussions on this site.
