Gantt charts and Project Automation

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to effectively embed
parts of Microsoft Project into our own application. For
example display a MS Project gantt chart in our app?

Failing that, is it possible to create and read gantt
chart information so that we could use our own custom
gantt chart to display data from MS Project?

Any help would be much appreciated.
